Story
A dark comic study of the oppressive forces that decay and corrupt five people - a simple, uneducated former electrician (jeff) that has come to some money and his wife (janise), a dentist (McTeague) in turn of the century Los Angeles, his miserly, vulgar and pathological wife (Trina), and their mutual friend and Trina's ultimate nemesis, a struggling actress (Marnie) - all are caught up by their squalid, debased passion, compulsion and greed, as a screen play they worked on is being considered for production by a major studio.

2 hours and 45 minutes, including one intermission.
